Our Process – Initial Liability

1. Let’s talk about your claim
You can lodge a claim at any time, even while you’re still serving. The sooner you start, the easier it will be to gather the evidence needed to support your claim. We’ll arrange a 30-minute call to go over what the DVA has requested and answer any questions you may have about the process.
2. Lodging your claim
After understanding your situation and reviewing your medical evidence, we’ll draft the necessary submissions to the DVA on your behalf.
3. Working on your claim
Once your claim is submitted, the DVA will send us confirmation of lodgement. While that’s happening, we’ll help you schedule any required medical appointments and connect you with doctors who can assist with your claim. The DVA will send us report requests and TRNs (DVA’s billing number), and we’ll collaborate with your treating team to gather all relevant information and link your conditions back to your service.
4. Claim determination
Once the DVA has all the medical evidence, they’ll review it and make a decision—either accepting or rejecting your claim.

If your claim, or any condition within your claim, is rejected, we’ll thoroughly review the reasons for the decision. We’ll explain what happened and discuss your options moving forward.
