We are a company founded and run by Australian Veterans Luke Armstrong and Matt Dumars, with the sole aim of helping Australian veterans.
We, KSC Claims, have chosen to specialise in providing expert claims management services tailored specifically to Aussie veterans navigating the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) process. Our objective is to be recognised as the trusted partner for veterans seeking guidance, support, and advocacy throughout this often-complex journey.
We strive to deliver exceptional outcomes by leveraging deep expertise, innovative approaches, and a personalised touch. At KSC Claims, every case is handled with care, precision, and respect, ensuring that veterans feel valued and supported.
We started KSC by accident after we navigated the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) claims process ourselves and then assisted some mates in doing the same.
Those veterans suggested it was a service we could build a business around, so we gave it a try.
We strive to provide an excellent, ethical service with great results while showing veterans respect, empathy and professionalism.
We have assisted over 3,000 veterans with DVA claims since March 2020.
We work hard to ensure we have empathy and respect for DVA staff, who are crucial to the claims process. It’s not uncommon for DVA staff to be veterans themselves, and very often, they’re also motivated to meaningfully improve the lives of others. We see this relationship with DVA staff as an asset for the veteran community, as working hand-in-hand can provide an optimal outcome for all.

Matthew Dumars served nearly nine years in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) before an injury disrupted his journey to becoming a Physical Training Instructor (PTI). Following his military career, he transitioned into personal training, focusing on injury rehabilitation and management, helping others recover and rebuild.
Matt brings a unique combination of military experience and injury knowledge to veteran advocacy. Alongside Luke Armstrong, he co-founded KSC to address the shortcomings they and their fellow veterans faced within the DVA process, creating a strong support system for all veterans. As KSC’s resident expert in appeals and navigating the complex DVA assessment criteria, Matt is passionate about ensuring veterans get the assistance they deserve.
When he’s not working, Matt enjoys time with his beloved cattle dog, hitting the gym, and rock climbing. Known for his approachable nature and willingness to help, he’s always eager to share his expertise and insights with others.
Luke Armstrong, a former Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airman, has a deep passion for advocating for veterans. After his military career was cut short by injury, his drive to support fellow vets only grew stronger. Working in Exercise Science with pre- and post-operative neurosurgery patients — many of whom are veterans —fuelled his mission to help others transition into civilian life.
Frustrated by his own run-ins with the DVA claims process and the lack of proper support, Luke and his long-time mate Matthew Dumars co-founded KSC. After being told, “If you reckon you know so much, why don’t you fix the system?” they took on the challenge. In the middle of a law degree, Luke faced a choice between continuing with his studies or dedicating himself fully to KSC—and he didn’t hesitate. Five years later, he believes it was the best call he ever made, as helping veterans with issues close to his heart is what motivates him daily.
Luke is often the first point of contact for veterans starting their claims journey. He provides an empathetic approach, combined with practical recommendations to help navigate the complexities of the system. Alongside Matt, he envisions transforming veteran advocacy into a professional, regulated service that offers veterans the support, guidance, and hope they deserve—along with more options than were ever on the table just a few years back.
When he’s not at KSC, you’ll find Luke at the go-kart track, watching the footy or cricket, hitting the gym, or out walking his two dogs. He’s known for his no-bull approach and is always up for a yarn—straight to the point, with no sugar-coating.
